See Differently Awarded Vision Services for South Australia Through Inclusive Employment Australia

See Differently has been awarded the role of delivering specialist Vision Services for South Australia under Inclusive Employment Australia – the Australian Government’s new model for Disability Employment Services (DES).

 This announcement recognises See Differently’s expertise, lived experience-led approach, and ongoing commitment to empowering people who are blind or have low vision to thrive in the workplace.

 As part of a major reform that impacts all DES providers nationally, See Differently has been confirmed as South Australia’s only specialist provider for people with vision loss.

This reinforces our national reputation as a leader in vision services and builds on more than 140 years of supporting people to achieve independence through meaningful employment.

 See Differently’s Executive Director Damian Papps said See Differently was honoured to be recognised as a national specialist.

 “This is an exciting and important milestone for See Differently,” Mr Papps said.

 “It reflects our deep commitment to inclusive, tailored support for people with vision loss, and we are honoured to continue this vital work for the next 140 years.”

While See Differently’s DES team has proudly supported a diverse range of clients for a number of years, from 1 November 2025, our services will focus exclusively on expanding and enhancing employment outcomes for people with vision loss.

Existing clients without vision loss will have the choice to stay with See Differently or move to another provider under the new model.

“We understand that any change can bring uncertainty, and our commitment to all clients remains as strong as ever,” Mr Papps said.

“We’ll work closely with everyone to ensure they feel supported, informed, and empowered to make the best decision for their future.”

As part of Inclusive Employment Australia, See Differently will continue to deliver and innovate within its specialist area, ensuring that people who are blind or have low vision receive the tailored employment support they deserve.
