One side of the board features a Braille learning surface that allows users to create Braille characters by pressing pegs into the board. The reverse side provides a tactile drawing surface where users can create raised-line shapes, pictures, and patterns. This combination supports early literacy development, tactile learning, and creative play.

The BrailleDoodle is commonly used by children who are blind or have low vision, as well as educators, therapists, and families who are supporting Braille learning at home or in the classroom.
