Our Board sets the strategic direction and oversees governance, performance, and compliance. The Board ensures we remain accountable, transparent, and aligned with our mission through regular consultation with our clients to ensure our services are effective, and future ready.
Kate McKeough - B.A, B.Com, LLB
President
As a lawyer and Partner in the Corporate & Commercial division of HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, Kate is a specialist in companies and securities law and has a broad practice in general commercial law. Kate has previously served as sole Legal Counsel and Company Secretary of ASX-listed Terramin Australia Limited, and currently serves as Deputy Chair of Adelaide based homelessness charity, Catherine House Inc. Kate’s professional skills and experience position her well to assist See Differently moving forward.

Barry Clarke - FIPA
Vice-President
Barry brings a unique blend of skills to the See Differently Board; he is a qualified accountant, with broad experience in financial management and corporate governance. Barry is legally blind and an See Differently client therefore understands the challenges and support required by people who are blind or vision impaired.

Kate Berry - Grad Dip HRM, Dip BUS T
Vice-President
As a senior Human Resources Executive with experience in multiple industries, including tourism, Sport, Retail and professional services, Kate brings a commercial mindset and Human Resources expertise to the Board that will assist See Differently maintain its client centric focus.

Dr Grant Raymond
MBBS, FRANZCO, GAICD
Grant is an Ophthalmologist – Retina Specialist. He is Vice President , Treasurer and a national Board Director of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) having also served as a past Chairman of the SA Branch. He is a past Captain and Chairman of the Management Committee of Kooyonga Golf Club. His special interest in strategic planning and risk management brings a balanced skill set to assist See Differently navigate the challenging environment currently being faced by the disability and BVI sectors.

Jane Ford - BA (Journ), BEC, BA – Hons Politics, PhD
As a corporate communications and policy specialist with broad experience in government and the private sector, together with qualifications in international trade policy, journalism, politics and economics, Jane’s insight will assist the Board with achieving its mission and effectively communicating its goals both internally and externally.
Edward Carlson - MBA, BEc
Ed leads the team at Lumination and specialises in building innovative technology companies. Ed’s passion is EdTech and how innovations in the classroom and workplace prepare people for the changing landscape of technological transformation. Prior to Lumination he worked at Google, TRO and various startups – building teams, products and leading growth in the ANZ region.
Damian Papps - FCA
With over three decades of global financial services experience in public and private sectors Damian is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and is an experienced Director having served on several Boards. Since 2011 he has specialised in Healthcare, with a focus on Aged Care and Retirement Living, hospitals, pharmacy, medical specialists, general practice and disability services.

Damian Papps - FCA
Damian is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants ANZ with over 30 years global experience in financial services and governance. Since 2011 he has specialised in healthcare, spanning aged care, retirement living, hospitals, pharmacy, general practice, and disability services. Damian brings deep financial and board expertise to strengthen organisations delivering positive community outcomes.

Anthony Wood
Executive Manager, Finance & Commercial
Anthony is a Finance Executive and Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience across professional, corporate, and operational roles. He has served on Executive Leadership Teams and partnered with C-suite executives across Finance, Corporate Services, Operations, and Sales. He is passionate about using his expertise to support See Differently to grow, innovate, and create lasting change for the communities it serves.
Jody Martin-Rankin
Executive Manager, Strategy, Partnerships & Innovation
Jody has over nine years senior leadership experience at See Differently, focusing on creating social impact through strategic innovation, collaboration, and co-design. With expertise in change management, cultural transformation, and organisational leadership, she champions inclusive approaches that strengthen services, empower communities, and drive sustainable progress aligned with the organisation s mission and values.
Sally Raphael
Executive Manager, Marketing
Sally is a senior brand, marketing, and communications professional with 20 years’ experience leading high-performing teams and delivering integrated strategies. She has extensive expertise in brand building, communications, and stakeholder engagement, including a decade working on major regeneration projects in London. Sally is passionate about creating meaningful connections that drive positive impact for communities.
Ana Gonzalo
Executive Manager, Fundraising
Ana brings more than 20 years of experience in fundraising and engagement, with a passion for values-led philanthropy and meaningful human connection. She is driven by helping people give with intention and building relationships that create lasting impact for communities.
Ana has led fundraising and engagement strategies across the education sector, developing authentic donor relationships and growing sustainable support. In her role at See Differently, she leads organisation-wide fundraising and engagement with a focus on integrity, inclusion and long-term impact.
Peter Ware
Executive Manager, Manufacturing & Packaging
Peter is a hands-on leader with ten years at See Differently in senior and executive management experience in manufacturing and operations. Passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and cultural change, he builds trusted, people-focused teams through open, ethical leadership. Peter thrives on driving business transformation, enhancing systems and processes, and fostering collaborative solutions that improve performance and long-term sustainability.
Nina Dodunski
Executive Manager, People, Culture & Capability
Nina is a highly experienced People and Culture executive with more than 20 years’ experience leading workforce, culture, and capability initiatives across healthcare, community services, manufacturing, and facility services. She is passionate about creating inclusive, safe, and high-performing workplaces where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work. With expertise across the employee lifecycle, workplace relations, work health and safety, organisational development, and leadership coaching, Nina brings a collaborative and people-focused approach to driving positive change. She is committed to building strong teams and workplace cultures that enable individuals and organisations to grow, innovate, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the communities they serve.
Client Advisory Committee
The Client Advisory Committee (CAC) brings the voice of our clients into every level of decision-making, because lived experience matters. Made up of people with lived experience of vision loss, the Committee advises on service relevance, strategic planning, and client outcomes, ensuring the voice of our community is always heard.

Michael Hutchison (Chair)
Michael was re‑elected as Chair of See Differently’s Client Advisory Committee. He lost his sight in 2015 and volunteers in peer support. He also serves on the Board of a South Australian disability provider. Michael has over 40 years’ experience as a housing and town planning specialist, working in both the public and private sectors. He lost his sight in 2015. The support of his partner and See Differently have been pivotal to the rebuilding of his life. With a clear understanding of the immediate and ongoing impact the dramatic loss of sight had on both he and his partner, Michael is a passionate advocate for peer support and social inclusion programs.
Nicole Willing (Deputy Chair)
Nicole is a counsellor and advocate whose career has spanned the community and retirement housing sector, with a strong focus on aged and disability inclusion. Living with vision impairment, she brings lived experience to her work, offering empathy and practical support to others navigating vision loss. Nicole combines professional expertise with a passion for empowering people with disability to thrive. This frontline experience deeply informs her role as a member of the client advisory committee.
Mick Butler
Diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) in his mid-thirties, Mick represents a growing demographic of those developing visual impairment in early to mid‑life. Mick was introduced to See Differently in 2012 and has used many of their services. Recently, he graduated with Winslet, his first guide dog.
Lisa Cundy
Lisa enjoys staying active and travelling overseas. She believes vision impairment doesn’t stop her from enjoying life.
Charlotte Germaine
After losing her sight suddenly in 2013, Charlotte brings lived experience and strong understanding of challenges faced by people who are blind or have low vision. She lives in regional SA and has been involved in fundraising for See Differently for 10+ years.
Sarah Maculans
Sarah brings lived experience of progressive vision impairment and a background in social sciences. Her interests include advocacy, inclusive policy, and co‑design.
Paul Manfrin
Paul is an active member of Eye See You South East (ICU), a peer group in Mount Gambier supporting people with vision impairment. His journey began at age 18 when he was diagnosed with an eye condition and received a See Differently flyer from his specialist.
David James Olney
David is a legally blind marketing and communication strategist who previously taught strategic culture and problem solving at the University of Adelaide. He is passionate about empowering people through effective communication. David is also a podcaster, guitarist, yoga practitioner, and avid audiobook listener.
Volunteer Advisory Committee
The Volunteer Advisory Committee (VAC) provides a voice for our volunteers and helps strengthen the volunteer experience across See Differently.
The Committee welcomes feedback, ideas and suggestions from all volunteers. Whether you have comments about training or processes, ideas for improving communication and information sharing, or anything else you would like the Committee to consider, we would love to hear from you by following this link to email them.
Daniel Milne (Chair)
Daniel Milne is an electrical engineer with extensive domestic and international experience in the energy sector. He has been a proud See Differently volunteer for nine years, supporting the organisation as an emergency puppy boarder. Daniel brings a strong governance mindset, practical problem solving skills, and a deep commitment to the volunteer experience.
Deborah Parsons (Deputy Chair)
Deborah Parsons is a Special Needs Teacher with an Arts degree in English Literature and History, and postgraduate qualifications in Education and Special Education. She is currently completing a postgraduate degree in Psychology at Flinders University.
A volunteer Puppy Educator for more than five years, Deb has seen first hand the life changing impact of See Differently dogs. She is passionate about the vital role volunteers play and believes the long term sustainability of the organisation depends on strong partnerships between volunteers, staff, and leadership, underpinned by a contemporary, collaborative, and supportive culture that attracts and retains volunteers.
Mark Nemtas
Mark Nemtas is a qualified mechanical engineer with experience in defence consulting and manufacturing. Over the past 20 years, he has founded and operated a small software company, worked as a small business advisor, and co established a successful collectables and hobby business with both online and retail operations.
Mark has volunteered with See Differently for more than ten years, helping to raise three puppies and providing bed and breakfast care for many more. He brings strong business acumen and long term volunteer insight to the committee.
Dr Joy Gilbertson
Dr Joy Gilbertson has a background as a nurse clinician and health administrator, with strong connections to academia and the research community. As a head of service, she established and supported a large hospital based volunteer service, reflecting her commitment to community involvement and shared benefit.
Joy offers valuable expertise in understanding what works effectively at the interface between organisations and their volunteer communities.
Michael Nezic
Michael (Mike) Nezic has been a registered See Differently volunteer for more than seven years, primarily serving as an Emergency Boarder within the Guide and Assistance Dog Program. During this time, he has provided short and long term care for over 20 dogs while working full time in corporate office environments.
Drawing on experience in community engagement and project coordination, Mike successfully led workplace approval processes to enable dogs in training to attend professional office settings, supporting their socialisation, confidence, and adaptability. He is passionate about strengthening partnerships, promoting awareness, and contributing to sustainable, community focused volunteer outcomes.
Merrawyn Williams
Merrawyn Williams has over 50 years’ experience in the retail sector and, together with her husband, owned and operated a large, multi faceted retail business for 27 years. She strongly believes in a collaborative and inclusive approach that fosters pride and self worth.
Her background includes extensive committee experience with the Adelaide Hills Council, retail groups, and not for profit organisations including Aged Care and Meals on Wheels. With 19 years at See Differently, Merrawyn brings deep insight into volunteer engagement and public perception of the Guide and Assistance Dog Services program.
Leonie Stanford
Leonie Stanford is a registered nurse and mother of five who has volunteered with See Differently for the past two and a half years. Balancing family life, nursing, and community service has strengthened her commitment to helping others.
As a member of the Volunteer Advisory Committee, Leonie is passionate about growing and supporting the volunteer community so more people can share in the rewarding experience of helping train life changing dogs.
Neil Gordon
Neil Gordon has been a Puppy Educator with See Differently since 2011 and has raised 11 puppies. While volunteering, he has held senior civilian Science and Technology roles within the Department of Defence, with puppies accompanying him to work on a daily basis.
Neil brings valuable insight into volunteering while working full time and is focused on helping shape systems and processes that make volunteering more accessible and sustainable for busy professionals.
