Urgent Call | Raise the Next Generation of Life-Changers

These puppies may start small, yet their future is very bright. One day, they’ll become the loyal partners that provide independence, confidence, and companionship to people who are legally blind or veterans living with PTSD.

As a See Differently Puppy Educator, you’ll play a vital role in helping these pups develop the skills and confidence they’ll need to change someone’s life.

What’s involved?

• Raising a puppy in your home for around 12 months.
• Helping them build social skills, confidence, and basic obedience.
• Providing love, patience, and structure.
• Plenty of time for hugs and play!

We’ll support you every step of the way:

• All expenses are covered, including food, vet care, and training equipment.
• Full training is provided.
• Ongoing guidance from our expert Puppy Development Team.

Retiree Liz has been a volunteer with See Differently for almost five years and says it has changed her life.

“As a Puppy Educator, volunteering has given me a purpose,” Liz says.

 “I love having the pups, and I think, honestly, it’s such an honour to be able to train these dogs to hopefully be able to help someone in the future.

 “My first dog was a beautiful, big boofy boy, and he’s now matched with a veteran and completely changed that fellow’s life. He’s a completely different person, and when you see that, you think ‘oh my gosh, it’s so worth it’.”

Liz has also found community through volunteering.

“We’ve got a little group of about five of us with pups, and we meet every week for coffee and swap notes and see how we can help each other, and it’s wonderful,” she says.

 Liz also praises the ongoing support provided by the See Differently team.

“The staff at See Differently are really wonderful, always available to answer any questions – we’re really lucky to have that support,” she says.
